Frustrated by all the paint color options out there?
We get it! That’s why we feel so strongly that one of the best ways we can benefit you is to offer trained help with the color selection process. Our color consultation service is coordinated with our paint projects, it is not a stand alone service we offer.
We know how it feels when you’re about to embark on a home painting or remodeling project. You worry about budget, scheduling, and potential inconvenience. Picking paint colors should be the “fun” part, but often it’s just as stressful as the other decisions you have to make!
That’s why we offer color consulting services for our clients** when they choose us for their home painting project. Our color consultants are trained in evaluating color in light of your particular environment’s flooring, hard surfaces such as tile or countertops, lighting, and furnishings. Plus we use large, 11 x 14″ color samples to be able to judge color properly. Not even a color consulting pro would want to pick paint colors based on those tiny chips from the paint store!
**Not using Paper Moon Painting for your project? Although our own color consulting services are only for Paper Moon projects, we’d be happy to recommend some local designers who may be just right for your project. And you can always find good recommendations on Houzz’s “Find a Pro” page!
Here’s a small video of one of our resident color consultants, Lisa Moon, explaining the color selection for one of our client’s interior paint projects. Here are more color lesson videos to browse through!
How does one become trained in color consulting, anyway?
Paper Moon’s color consultants have all had the privilege of attending Maria Killam’s professional color consulting workshop, so they are fully trained in helping you pick the right colors and get your project right. Maria’s expertise is nationally recognized, especially in the area of selecting neutral colors (the trickiest ones to evaluate) based on their undertones. There’s no better color consulting training anywhere!
Our color consulting services include:
- Meeting with you in your home for an hour to evaluate paint color options, in your surroundings, with your furnishings and lighting
- Selecting color for all surfaces to be painted, whether walls, ceilings, cabinetry, or woodwork and trim
- Evaluating exterior color options, including selecting your home’s “body color”, and paint colors for your exterior trim, fascia, soffits, shutters, doors and windows
