Brad Baxter
Owner & Estimator
Brad knows Paper Moon Painting from the ground up — literally! He started his journey with the company as a painter, working his way up to Production Manager, then Estimator, and ultimately Owner alongside his wife, Emma. Having experienced nearly every side of the business firsthand, Brad brings a unique understanding of the craftsmanship, dedication, and attention to detail that go into every project. Together, Brad and Emma lead Paper Moon Painting with a genuine passion for their team, their clients, and the quality of work they deliver.
When he’s not busy running the business, Brad is a devoted family man who enjoys spending time outdoors, fishing, and caring for his family farm.
Fun fact: Brad has gone from holding a paintbrush to owning the company — but he’s never forgotten what it takes to get the job done right!
Emma Baxter
Co-Owner & Manager
Emma has learned the painting business from the inside out, giving her a hands-on understanding of what it takes to keep Paper Moon Painting running smoothly and deliver a great experience for our clients. Today, she oversees the company’s HR and accounting while also stepping in wherever she’s needed.
Before Paper Moon, Emma worked in the new-home warranty industry, giving her valuable experience with homeowners, builders, and the details that go into caring for a home. She graduated from high school a year early and later graduated a semester early from UTSA with a degree in Real Estate Finance and Development.
But Emma isn’t all numbers and spreadsheets! She has a natural eye for color and design and loves helping homeowners bring their ideas together. If choosing the perfect paint colors feels overwhelming, Emma would be happy to come out, talk through your vision, and help you find colors that feel just right in your home.
Jodie S.D.
Office Manager
Jodie keeps the many moving pieces behind Paper Moon Painting organized and on track. She helps make sure everything runs smoothly from the first phone call through project completion.
A UTSA graduate with concentrations in business, law, and public administration, Jodie brings a strong operations background to Paper Moon. Before joining the team, she served as Director of Operations for a medical courier company, where she managed the fast-paced logistics of drivers, staff, clients, and daily operations.
Outside the office, Jodie is happiest outdoors — chasing sunrises and sunsets, hiking, kayaking, or practicing yoga.
Peter Moon
Estimator & Founder
Peter is one of the original founders of Paper Moon Painting, bringing decades of experience, craftsmanship, and industry expertise to the business he helped build from the ground up.
His journey began as a professional wallpaper installer before he and his wife, Lisa, founded and grew Paper Moon Painting into the respected name it is today. Now, Peter has come full circle, returning to his roots in wallpaper with the launch of our sister company, Paper Moon Wallpaper Specialist. It’s a fitting next chapter for someone whose passion for craftsmanship helped start it all!
When he’s not working, Peter enjoys spending time with his beloved wife, Lisa, at their California homestead.
Fun fact: Peter and Lisa have an ongoing debate about whether bowling truly qualifies as a sport. The jury is still out!
Lisa Moon
Co-Founder | Specialty Finishes Guru
Lisa is one of the original founders of Paper Moon Painting, alongside her husband, Peter. With decades of experience and a passion for color, design, and decorative finishes, Lisa helped shape the creative vision and reputation for craftsmanship that Paper Moon Painting is known for today.
Her artistic eye and appreciation for beautiful spaces have been instrumental in bringing countless home transformations to life. From specialty finishes to thoughtful color selections, Lisa has always believed that the right details can make a house feel like home.
These days, Lisa enjoys spending time with Peter at their California homestead, where they’ve begun a new chapter after years of building Paper Moon Painting together.
Fun fact: Lisa grew up reading by the sea in a sleepy little Southern California beach town.
